Global Sporting Goods Industry Support for Humanitarian Efforts in Ukraine
Bern, 4 March 2022 – The World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) and its Members have been following the deeply disturbing developments in Ukraine with sadness and concern. The war has impacted many in the sporting goods industry and WFSGI expresses its solidarity with the people of Ukraine whose families, communities, and country are under unprecedented attack. WFSGI adds its voice to that of the global community in calling for peace.
After consultation with the WFSGI Board and as an immediate step, WFSGI, in cooperation with the Federation of the European Sporting Goods Industry (FESI), the Association of Japan Sporting Goods Industries (JASPO), the Sport and Fitness Industry Association (SFIA), and the Taiwan Sporting Goods Manufacturers Association (TSMA), will be donating to the UN Ukraine Humanitarian Fund to help provide urgent humanitarian aid to those in need. WFSGI recognises and thanks its Members who have already contributed financial and in-kind support via various means.

ISPO is the s the world’s largest trade fair for sporting goods and sportswear. WFSGI partnered with ISPO to enable its members to benefit from a couple of ISPO discounts (booths, entrance tickets).
