World Trade Organization – Public Forum
The WTO Public Forum is the kick–off event of the WTO’s working year.
It is an open event taking place during several days and attracting a large audience of policy makers and representatives of the missions to the WTO. It is one of the few opportunities for private sector entities to actively participate at the WTO, which remains a member state driven organization.
The WFSGI Trade Committee has successfully submitted proposals to host sessions at this important event over nearly the past decade. The purpose is always to outline the industry’s position, and raise its concerns and provide the opportunity to exchange with participants.
The format of the sessions is mostly a panel of four speakers and a moderator. The session is open to all participants of the WTO Public Forum and there is always a part of the session dedicated to the exchange of the panellists with the participants of the session.
