Physical Activity Committee Report 2022

Articles

The World Health Organization (WHO) and World Federation of Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) partner to improve health through physical activity and sport.

This article highlights the findings of the World Health Organization’s first Global status report on physical activity, and asks how sporting goods manufacturers can help support government efforts to increase physical activity and reach global goals for healthier populations.

The COVID-19 pandemic has spotlighted the value of good health and the need to build resilient systems. The impacts of the pandemic, reaching far beyond health, require a response which combines the skills, expertise and resources of public and private sector stakeholders.

Mobility is an essential element of development strategies. In sub-Saharan Africa alone, there are over 600 million people who walk as their main mode of transportation.
