WFSGI President and CEO

Dear WFSGI Members and participants,

It gives us a great pleasure to invite you to our WFSGI Annual Meetings and General Assembly 2020 during ISPO Munich from 26–29 January 2020.

As every year, our different Committee Meetings will discuss relevant information regarding the latest international developments within the Sporting Goods Industry, share best practices with the IOC and IF members, address global trade and legal issues, develop an understanding about social and environmental trends, exchange the latest insights on manufacturing as well as encourage and advocate for the physical activity on a global level.

2020 is also an election year for the WFSGI Board.
The WFSGI Members that are present at the General Assembly will have the right to vote for the election of the WFSGI Board for a three years term, furthermore they will approve the budget and the WFSGI strategic direction as proposed by the Board.

The various WFSGI Committee Meetings being held around ISPO are for WFSGI Members or invitees only but we welcome non-Members at the General Assembly.
Non-Members will have the opportunity to meet the sport-inspired leisure brands, manufacturers, suppliers, retailers, national/regional federations, industry and trade associations that are steering the Sporting Goods Industry.

Finally, we would like to celebrate with our Members and non-Members the new Chairman of the Board and Committee Members with an Apero that will be organized after the conclusion of the General Assembly on Wednesday 29 January 2020.

Because this year’s Chinese New Year celebration falls in the time before ISPO, we have exceptionally scheduled the Meetings during ISPO 2020 and not before it. It is important to us that we can also meet with our Asian members. In the following year we will certainly organize the Meetings again before the ISPO.

I hope you will not miss the opportunity to join our Annual Meetings and General Assembly 2020 and meet the key industry leaders and sports professionals while visiting for free the leading trade fair for the sports business.

If you have any questions, feel free to contact our Head of Events, Loredana Morgillo –

Safe travels and we are looking forward to seeing you soon in Munich!

Kind regards,
Robbert de Kock
